A man was jailed on a civil contempt citation related to a divorce proceeding. Despite having legal representation, he languished in jail for two years. His family finally retained Karp & Weiss hoping that there might be a way to gain his release. Karp & Weiss attorneys were able to have the contempt purged. The man was released in time to spend the holidays with his family.

One civil rights case litigated by Karp & Weiss was in the courts for seven years through numerous appeals by the defense. By being persistent, Karp & Weiss eventually recovered a substantial settlement for our client by winning the final appeal.
